My oldest daughter drives a 2000 Durango with 187K miles. The transmission started failing so she took to a national chain--and she left with an amazing quote (not in the good way). I found Atlanta Certified Transmissions by browsing--gave a quick call and had my daughter take her car there. Great service and almost 1/2 the price--honest and straight forward... my daughter learned a lesson on the right way to handle the customer and I found the transmission place for all my cars.

While I was driving my ‘04 Honda Accord, the 3rd, 4th and 5th gear simply went away. I limped to a service station, who recommended that I get Honda or a transmission specialist to repair the car. Honda said the transmission was gone, and that it would be $5,000 to install a rebuilt unit sourced elsewhere. I called Atlanta Certified Transmissions, from their YellowPages ad, and they took over. They picked up the car, said it would be ready in 2 days, with a maximum cost of $1,800, including a warranty. The owner explored the alternatives of longer warranty and installing an oil cooler, but with no pressure. We decided against this, and 2 workdays later, he called to say the car was ready. He even arranged to have the car delivered back to Dunwoody, at my normal service place where I got an oil change before picking it up. At all times, I felt no pressure, no worry and relied upon the 38 years of experience this firm has had in fixing transmissions. The car runs beautifully, perhaps better than when it was new. I cannot say enough about the courteous treatment and professionalism which I enjoyed in working with Atlanta Certified Transmissions, to say nothing of the $3,000 I saved over the dealers' basic quote. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing transmission service.

After the transmission went out the second time on 2004 Chevy, my brother suggested Atlanta Certified Transmission. Within an hour he had my vehicle on a tow truck. Within a day it was ready, only to figure out their was a minor change in some part with the 04`s that the dealer that fixed it before did not catch. Talk about speedy service and quality work. I'll never go anywhere else, that's for sure.
